Impressionists and Photography

Monet, Degas, Renoir, Pissarro, Caillebotte… 66 oil paintings and more than 100 photographs

The Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum presents from the past october 15th 2019 until January 26th, 2020 ‘Impressionists and Photography’, an exhibition that discovers the great impact that the invention of photography had on the development of plastic arts in the second half of the nineteenth century, and the way in which its appearance radically changed the way of contemplating the world and representing it, especially for the impressionists. Monet, Degas, Pissarro or Sisley stand out among the painters present; while Cuvelier, Le Gray, Baldus or Marville stand out among the photographers. Painters and photographers, a story of love and jealousy, as described by the artistic director of the Museum. As a result of our collaboration with the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum and its design team, Barceloning has produced a series of products inspired by the works of the Exhibition
